My Clinical Interests
Maternal Mental Health
Supporting the transition of matrescence and the complexities of perinatal mental health.
Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs): Focusing on early intervention and the importance of integrated care teams.
Military Family Support: Specialized advocacy for mothers navigating the unique stressors of the military lifecycle (PCS, deployments, separation from family, etc).
PSI Group Facilitation: Experienced in leading peer-support models for Postpartum Support International (PSI) military community.
Trauma-Informed Care
Interested in learning about grounded, evidence-based approaches to processing acute stress, grief, and trauma.
The Somatic Connection: I operate from the belief that trauma lives in the body. I am deeply interested in how different somatic techniques can supplement traditional talk therapy.
Evidence-Based Practices: I am currently building my foundational skills at Pepperdine and as a practicum student. I am eager to pursue specialized training in EMDR and DBT.
Teachable: I am committed to being a lifelong learner and seeking supervision that will help me bridge my gaps in understanding. This is the area where I’m hoping to grow the most during my practicum experience.
I believe that every individual possesses an inherent capacity for growth and change, often discovered during shifts in identity and seasons of change. Integrating my background as a Marine Corps Officer with a deep commitment to maternal mental health, I strive to provide a safe, grounded space for those navigating trauma to reconnect with themselves.
